Real-time electrical monitoring for an oil refinery
Full visibility over the plant's electrical network — from the Sonelgaz 30 kV delivery point down to each workshop — to understand true energy costs and stop paying avoidable penalties.
A monitoring platform covering five measurement points across the plant's high-voltage (30 kV) and low-voltage network, connected non-intrusively to the existing metering transformers — with no production shutdown. Operators get a live dashboard, a working single-line diagram, an event and alarm log, and 24-hour load curves, all through a web interface.
The system reproduces the utility billing tariff to the cent, so the plant sees its electricity bill in real time — and breaks it down workshop by workshop, pinpointing exactly where a poor power factor drives reactive-energy penalties.
The analysis identified roughly 36,000 DA per month in avoidable penalties, traced to two specific workshops — a clear, funded case for targeted power-factor correction. The billing engine was validated to the cent against the client's own data; field deployment is underway.

BENOS Technologie was founded by Dr. Mourad Benosman, an Algerian engineer, entrepreneur, and innovator. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering completed between Algeria and Sweden, and is the inventor of a patented biomedical signal-processing technology.
After years of field work across Africa, he focused his expertise on helping hospitals secure a stable and affordable source of oxygen. Today, that same engineering discipline extends from gas generation to industrial engineering and sovereign plant software.
